As the planned closure of the Superior Landfill in 2026 nears, communities on the North Shore are invited to help shape the future of waste management. The Northeast Renewable Sustainable Development Partnership (RSDP) is working with Lake and Cook Counties, and Grand Portage, to evaluate residents’ needs with an eye toward waste reduction and sustainable management through a project called the Northeast Communities Recycling & Composting Collaborative.

Armstrong, Breck, Champlin Park, and Park Centerall sent individual skiers to the 2024 MSHSL Nordic skiing state championships last week at Giant’s Ridge Resort near Biwabik. Indiana reports first measles case in 5 years
The Indiana Department of Health (IDH) today announced that a measles infection has been confirmed in a Lake County resident, marking the state’s first case in 5 years. In a statement, it said it wouldn't add any other details about the case to protect patient privacy, and that the risk to the public is low.
