Afternoon & evening storms continue to start the week
Storms will continue to flow over the East from the north and west as the cold front we’ve been tracking slowly moves in from Virginia. The threat of severe weather will fade after 9 p.m. as the atmosphere cools and stabilizes under the rain. Showers and downpours will persist through the early hours of Monday morning. We may see a brief pause in the rain mid-morning on Monday, however it will be short lived as more rain develops after lunch. Highs will only reach the mid 80s thanks to the cloud cover and rain showers.
