Bomb squad called to South Bend scrap metal processing facility
SOUTH BEND, Ind. (WNDU) - The South Bend Police Department’s bomb squad found no threat after it was called Friday afternoon to investigate a possible pipe bomb. Police were called around 2 p.m. to a scrap metal processing facility in the 1300 block of Prairie Avenue. They met with employees, who explained they located what they believed to be a pipe bomb amongst a load of scrap metal on the property.
South Bend Farmer’s Market to celebrate 100 years with new mural
SOUTH BEND, Ind. (WNDU) - The South Bend Farmer’s Market is celebrating its upcoming 100th anniversary with a large outdoor mural on the side of the market’s building.
