One Arrest in Assault Case
TERRE HAUTE, Indiana (DLC Media) – One man was arrested in Terre Haute after striking a coworker in the back of the head. 30-year-old Dael Antonio Olin-Santos of Terre Haute suddenly struck the victim in the back of the head after Olin-Santos’s shift had ended. Police were alerted to the hospital where the victim had been taken.
HIGH SPEED POLICE CHASE FROM CLAY INTO VIGO COUNTY AND BACK
Brazil, In. – Shortly after 10 am Wednesday morning the Brazil Police responded to an attempted robbery report at the Advance Auto store on East National Ave. (U.S. 40) in Brazil. As the police responded the suspect fled the scene. The Brazil police gave pursuit as the suspect fled west bound on U.S. 40 where the Clay County Sheriff deputies gave chase. As the chase entered Vigo County the Vigo County Sheriff deputies joined the pursuit. The suspect refused to pull over and entered the city of Terre Haute where Terre Haute Police and ISU police joined the chase. The suspect turned back east and headed back to Brazil. By this time the Indiana State Police were involved. The suspects’ car avoided stop sticks put out by the Indiana State Police and came back into Brazil where he reversed direction and headed back west toward Vigo County again. The suspect was finally stopped near the York Automotive dealerships on U.S. 40 west of Brazil. The name of the suspect has not been released but he was taken to the Clay County Jail.
