Solomon’s Hidden Treasures
Solomon’s Hidden Treasures, a unique non-profit Thrift Store in Springville, offers a combination of new, used and antique items. It is run by volunteers supervised by Pastor Gail McCrory, the founder of Solomon’s Porch Ministries, a Non-Denominational Church in Mansfield, NY. Her daughter Hannah also helps run the store. “I love seeing our regular customers”, said the Pastor. “We truly have become a family around here”. Her daughter added, “My favorite thing about working here is when our customers send us, or show us, photos of how they have upcycled something they purchased here. Their creativity is amazing!” One customer used teapots they purchased from “Treasures” to create table centerpieces for events and fundraisers held for women who need financial help during their treatment for breast cancer.

The sweet table wines made from grapes like Niagara, Concord, and Catawba are just a few of the long-standing favorites tied into the identity of the region. For more than a century, our native grapes have helped to slake a national thirst for Welch’s grape juice and continue to make the playful wines that represent a cultural flavor.
