BRANDON, Miss. ( WJTV ) – Brandon police are still searching for two suspects who fired multiple shots into a home.

The shooting happened just after 10:30 p.m. on Thursday, April 25 in the 100 block of Faith Way.

When officers arrived at the location, they found numerous shell casings on the ground and bullet holes on the exterior of the house. Officers determined no one was inside the home during the shooting.

“Something to this to this scale, no, you know, in my experience and with the conversation that I’ve had with residents who have been here many years, you know, I think this is probably… We’ve had some some thefts in the past as far as, you know, a situation like this, I don’t recall this ever occurring in our neighborhood,” said Ben Luther, the president of the Homeowners Association (HOA) at Cornerstone Neighborhood.

Police released surveillance video of the incident. They said the video evidence showed two individuals approaching the home and firing shots.

“Keep us in your thoughts and prayers. This this situation doesn’t define us. You know, it’s obviously, you know, it’s a very frightening thing for those that are involved. And I’m, you know, I’m praying, keeping them our prayers. And at the same time, I don’t want this to to be what I think people think of us as. This doesn’t represent us as a county, as a city or as a neighborhood,” said Luther.
