Roads closed for police investigation in Prince George’s County

BOWIE, Md. ( DC News Now ) — Roads in Bowie were closed Wednesday evening for a multi-jurisdictional investigation led by the Maryland State Police.

In a post on the X platform around 6:30 p.m. , the Bowie Police Department (BPD) said that the Prince George’s County Police Department was handling a “critical incident” on Crain Highway.

BPD said that Trade Zone Avenue and Queen Anne Road were closed.

The City of Bowie said in a separate post that the northbound lanes of Crain Highway were closed between Trade Zone Avenue and Queen Anne Road for a police investigation.

Officials did not have any estimates on when the roads would reopen.
