Freeport Freshman wins Donate Life Maine High School Poster Contest
AUGUSTA-- Several high school students were honored in Augusta for their participation in a poster contest that sought to raise awareness of organ donation. "We've received literally hundreds of applications or submissions for arts and the students have provided some wonderful things that we will be using throughout Maine and throughout New England to help educate people about organ donation." says Matt Boger, the Director of Government Relations for New England Donor Services.

Boothbay Region High School has announced the Class of 2024 valedictorian and salutatorian. Jordan Chamness, daughter of Jason and Avery Chamness, is valedictorian and Margret “Meg” Sledge, daughter of Matt and Jenny Sledge, is salutatorian.
BRHS junior prom May 11
On Saturday, May 11, the Boothbay Region High School junior class of 2025 will be hosting prom at Spruce Point Inn. Prom is a fundraiser for graduation next year. Students from all four grades will be there. The night will start out at Barrett’s Park for pictures from 4 to 5 p.m., anyone is welcome to come and join us at this time. The students will then have a 2-hour period to go out to dinner at some of Boothbay’s local restaurants, from 5 to 7 p.m. The dance itself is from 7 to 9 p.m. at Spruce Point Inn. A huge thank you goes out them for donating this space to us for the night and the days before for us to set up.
