Publix to open third store in Northern Kentucky
A third Publix grocery store is coming to Northern Kentucky. Florida-based Publix Super Markets, Inc. purchased land bordering Florence and Union on U.S. Highway 42 for $4 million in May, public records show. The space is part of the roughly 11-acre Farmview Commons, an upcoming shopping development that will also include two other smaller commercial spaces, Todd Morgan, senior zoning planner for Boone County, said.

New Haven begins work on new mural
The City of New Haven plays homage to its past with the creation of new downtown mural brought to life by a local artist. Over the past month, visitors to New Haven City Hall may have noticed someone hard at work on a mural with lush greens and cerulean blues. Amie Richardson (Culver), a local New Haven artist, is the guiding hands of the mural bringing to life the history of the city as a thriving river shipping location for the region.
Hardin County man wagers $20, wins $100,000 by playing Kentucky Lottery
LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A Hardin County man picked the right time to play the Kentucky Lottery and won $100,000. The man from Vine Grove, who asked to remain anonymous, was quietly sitting in his room on May 17 when he decided to play the Kentucky Lottery's Instant Play game.
