Wyoming Senior Olympics featured in novel
CHEYENNE, Wyo. (Wyoming News Now) - The 2023 Wyoming Senior Olympics have been featured in a nationally selling novel. “Elli Dwyer’s Olympic Moment” by Diane Winger features the main character competing in the Wyoming Senior Olympics. Winger and her husband are Colorado residents and competed in last year’s Senior Olympics.
Kot, Tainamo look to make Olympic teams
The 2024 Olympic Games in Paris are around the corner, and two players are looking to represent the University of Wyoming on the biggest stage. Current Cowboy Touko Tainamo is hoping for a roster spot with the Finnish National Team, and former Cowboy Akuel Kot looks to make the team for South Sudan. Both are participating in camps with their respective teams.
Rangers' T.R. Richardson is all business on the diamond
T.R. Richardson is known by his peers as the kid who was good at everything he tried growing up. He’s played at every position except first base and catcher this season for the Laramie Post 14 American Legion baseball team. Additionally, the first-year Class AA player has been one of the Rangers’ most productive hitters at the dish.
Rangers blank visiting Hawks
LARAMIE — The Laramie Rangers bested the Cheyenne Hawks on Saturday at Cowboy Field. The Rangers took advantage of early mistakes with timely hits in a 10-0 win in the annual Dooley Oil Classic. Cheyenne failed to overcome an early error and had its lineup neutralized by Laramie starting pitcher Sam Hoyt.
