    Geneve "Jean" Irene (Bacon) Rolli

    September 27, 1931 to April 27, 2024 - Jean was born to Victor and Martha (Maulding) Bacon in Portland, OR on Sept 27, 1931 and was joined by her dear sister, Gwendolyn in 1934. Jean moved to Boring in 1937 and attended Boring Grade and Sandy High Schools.

    She met her husband, Robert Rolli in 1946 and they were married in 1948. The couple was blessed with 38 years of marriage. Jean was shattered when Bob passed away in March, 1986.

    Bob and Jean had 2 children who gave the couple 4 grandsons. After Bob’s passing, 2 great grandsons and 2 great granddaughters made Jean a great grandmother. Bob and Jean built their home in Boring in 1962 where Jean lived until 2022, moving to a care facility.

    She was active in her community as a member of the Boring Fire Dept Ladies’ Auxiliary, Boring Rebekah Lodge, Gresham Eagles, Elks Lodge widow member, volunteered at Sandy Historical Society and Springwater Trailhead Park in Boring. She was also Sandy Mt. Days queen in 2012.

    Jean was employed for the U. S. Postal Service in Boring, OR in 1957, retiring in 1992. After retirement Jean found a passion for tennis and enjoyed the sport into her 80’s. She also loved dancing, playing cards, gardening, traveling and spending time with her family and many friends.

    While with friends at Gresham Elks in 2005, she met Farley Flynn who would become her companion of 18 years.

    Jean was preceded in death by her husband, Bob, her parents, her sister and Farley. Jean is survived by her daughter, Roberta Jackson (Dale), her son, Richard Rolli (Wanda), grandsons Brent Jackson (Alena), Mike Jackson, Jeff Rolli (Jessica), Troy Rolli, great grandsons Dylan and Austin Jackson and great granddaughters, Jaylee and Josie Rolli.

    Jean was laid to rest next to her husband, Bob at a private interment. A Celebration of Life will be held June 8, from 3-7 pm at Mt. View Golf Course in Boring. Donations can be made to Mt. Hood Hospice in her name. A full obituary can be viewed on Sandy Funeral Home website.
