Strong State-ments for Tonganoxie High track
Tonganoxie High brought home quite a bit of hardware from the state track and field championships. On the boys side, the 4×800 team won silver and broke a 33-year-old school record in the process, while the 4×100 team broke its own school record yet again on the way to a fourth-place finish. The 4×400 team took fifth as well.
Local high schooler wins state level of Doodle for Google contest
KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) - Shawnee Mission East High Schooler Grace Pei is one of Google’s ‘Doodle for Google’ 55 state and territory winners. Back in January, Google asked students across the country to submit their ideas for the 16 annual Doodle for Google contest. In celebration of Google’s 25 anniversary, students were to answer the prompt “My wish for the next 25 years...” through their art.
