Cape Coral breaks ground on Festival Park
City of Cape Coral hosted a groundbreaking ceremony July 26 for Festival Park, housing festival grounds for larger events, an outdoor concert venue and sports fields in the northwest part of the city. Located at 1030 NW 28th St., Festival Park’s amenities will include a concessions and restroom building, multiuse sports fields with lighting, a grass berm for seating and electrical infrastructure for a future amphitheater. In 2018, Cape Coral voters approved a $60 million expansion of the city’s parks and recreation amenities. The approved 15-year general obligation bond will fund major parks and recreation improvements throughout the city.
