Southport police respond to submerged vehicle in Cape Fear River
Multiple emergency services responded to a single vehicle collision at the Southport waterfront Tuesday evening. Around 11:25 p.m. on Tuesday, officers with the Southport Police Department responded to a motor vehicle crash involving a single vehicle going over the bulkhead at Waterfront Park, according to a news release from the Southport police. One vehicle was located drifting in the river with one occupant yelling for help.
