United Hearts music festival brings faith and community to DeLeon Plaza
VICTORIA, Texas — DeLeon Plaza was filled with music, faith and fellowship as it hosted the sixth annual United Hearts Music Festival. The event featured a community blood drive, food bank donations and live performances from several artists, headlined by Christian singer Patrick Mayberry. Organizers say the festival celebrates unity among faith-based ministries from across the Crossroads, bringing together people of various denominations to worship and serve side by side. Ministers and speakers from area churches shared uplifting messages of hope and encouragement, focusing on the power of the Holy Spirit to inspire and comfort people regardless of their denomination. The festival wrapped up with smiles, music and a strong sense of community, as attendees left inspired by the performances, messages and acts of service that highlighted the spirit of faith and togetherness.

A Leap of Religion in Rockport
Take a meander down Fulton Seashore Street at any time of the day and also you’ll hear the water whooshing alongside the myriad piers and you’ll give ear to the screeching of herons in flight. However when John Macy’s recording studio is occupied, in the event you pay attention intently, you would possibly hear one thing else — a strum, a drum beat, a low baritone crooning a tune so soulful, it harmonizes with nature’s tune. Calling himself the Director of Mayhem at Coastal Bend Music, Macy, a metal guitarist and musical producer who performed in Michael Murphey’s band, launched the Rockport Songwriter Pageant in 2022. Now in its fourth yr, the occasion attracts legendary and rising musicians to Rockport, Man Clark’s hometown, for some tuneful interchange and musical camaraderie.
