Meteorologist Ryan DePhillips expects the mostly sunny, very warm, dry, and breezy trend to continue today Basinwide. Temperatures will once again reach the 80’s and well into the 90’s across the area as west-southwesterly winds will once again elevate the risk for fires to form in The Trans Pecos. The strengthening high pressure system to the northeast of West Texas will continue to push to the east, continuing to keep the more-humid air mass well to the east. Hardly any clouds with above-normal temperatures, low humidity, and persistently breezy conditions will continue not only today but also through tomorrow, but conditions will start to change later in the week as a more unsettled weather pattern approaches from the northwest.
