Bloomington Speedway sneaks past Mother Nature to get the race in
The 2nd night of the Lentz Paving Racesavers season had 19 entries at the Red Clay of Bloomington. This would setup a 3 heat format all cars transferring. The 3 drivers that were the fast times in each of their groups were Ethan Barrow, Jordan Welch and Dillan Baldwin. The invert wheel for the heats was a 3. Heat race 1 Riverway Plumbing winner would be Carson Dillion who held off Ethan for the win with John Wolfarth finishing 3rd. Riverway Plumbing Heat race 2 winner would be Ashton Thompson with the big win looking really strong over Keith Langley and Dustin Clark. The final heat Riverway Plumbing winner would be Rod Henning who would hold off Bradley Sterrett and Dillan Baldwin. All 3 heats set really fast times around the red clay in the 11 second per lap times. This would setup the A main with an invert of 2 and that put Ashton and Carson on the front row. This 20 lap A main would be wild as Ashton showed her speed and really smooth laps for the first half of the race. The lapped traffic would then be part of the wild 2nd half. Ashton while leading had a problem and I am not sure if it was contact or something else but her night was over as she pulled to the infield. This gave the lead to Ethan Barrow but as the lapped traffic kept getting heavier here came the 21A of Bradley Sterrett to take the top spot. Bradley would hold on the closing laps for the Brawley Group Feature win. Finishing behind Bradley at the checkers it was Ethan Barrow, Dustin Clark, Jordan Welch and Dillan Baldwin. Thanks to all the teams who put on another awesome show. The Bridlewood Consulting Hard Charger was Jordan Welch as he came from 11th to 4th. Next weekend is a double header with Bloomington and LPS for the Lentz Paving Indiana Racesavers.

Softball Recap: Kali Wink can't quite lead South Spencer over Tell City
South Spencer was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their 12th straight defeat. They fell just short of the Tell City Marksmen by a score of 2-0. The result was an unpleasant reminder to South Spencer of the 17-7 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in March.
