Flag football is a fast-paced, noncontact version of traditional American football. By fall 2025, all 25 MCPS high schools had teams, with more than 600 girls signing up. Students are required to take Hebrew from the year they enroll at JDS until the end of their sophomore year, with the option to drop it in their junior year. Spanish is offered starting in middle school, and classes continue through high school as students progress through levels.
