12-year-old shot, killed while allegedly breaking into car in Shreveport
Over the weekend a preteen was shot and killed in Shreveport after he allegedly tried to break into a parked car in the Southern Hills neighborhood. According to Shreveport Police Department, at approximately 11 p.m. Saturday, May 11, officers responded to a reported shots fired in the 8800 block of Hawthorne Dive.
SPD arrests teen related to 12-year-old’s fatal shooting
SHREVEPORT, La. (KTAL/KMSS) – A juvenile was arrested in connection with an alleged car burglary that led to the fatal shooting of a 12-year-old in Shreveport. According to Shreveport police, 17-year-old Justin Houston was arrested and faces one count of burglary and two counts of contributing to the delinquency of a juvenile as a result of an investigation by violent crime detectives.
Suspect allegedly shot ‘other woman,’ SPD investigates
According to the Shreveport Police Department, Saturday morning the suspect allegedly went to her boyfriend’s residence and found him with another woman, which resulted in shots fired. SPD stated the victim was transported to a local hospital, and the suspect fled the scene.

SHREVEPORT, La. (KSLA) - Shreveport police responded to a reported stabbing during an altercation in the Highland neighborhood. On May 12, at 12:31 a.m., the Shreveport Police Department (SPD) responded to a stabbing on the 2800 block of Highland Avenue, in the Highland neighborhood. When officers arrived they discovered two men were involved in a fight over a woman. A friend of one of the people fighting contacted SPD about his friend being stabbed.

SHREVEPORT, La. (KSLA) — Shreveport first responders went to the scene of a wreck involving a charter bus Tuesday afternoon. The crash occurred about 2:54 p.m. Tuesday (May 14) at I-49 N and East Bert Kouns Industrial Loop in Shreveport. Shreveport Fire Department officials said 26 students from Calvary Baptist Academy were on the bus at the time of the crash.
