The State Teachers Retirement System of Ohio needs a new fiduciary governance adviser. The $92 billion retirement fund for 500,000 Ohio teachers was effectively fired by Aon Fiduciary Services over the chaos on the STRS board. When the 10th District Court of Appeals ruled that Gov. Mike DeWine acted outside his constitutional authority in firing his appointed investment expert Wade Steen, there suddenly was a 6-5 board majority in support of reforms first advocated by Mr. Steen. More than 12,500 students graduate from Ohio State
COLUMBUS, Ohio — More than 12,500 students celebrated their graduation at The Ohio State University’s spring commencement Sunday afternoon. The graduation was a special moment for many of the graduates since the pandemic shut down many of their high school graduations four years ago. According to the university, 12,555 Buckeyes received their diploma or certificate in person — something most of them haven't done before.
Dewine announces $152 million in development projects for southern Ohio
Ohio (WCHS) — Gov. Mike Dewine is set to visit several cities along the Ohio River Monday to announce $152 million in development projects. Dewine, along with Lt. Governor Jon Husted and Department of Development Lydua Mihalik will visit Portsmouth, Proctorville and Marietta next week to announce the latest round of the Appalachian Community Grant Program, according to a news release from the governor’s office.
