Occasional Light Showers, High Pressure Arriving
Good Morning. Today, we transition away from a cold and wet airmass into a warm and drier one. The morning will start with occasional chances for showers, but they will be light when they develop. The most likely areas for showers will be along the foothills and at the higher elevations, but all regions will have some chance of getting wet. The morning and early afternoon will have cloud coverage to keep temps down, but clearing will come on strongly starting in the mid afternoon. Skies will be completely clear by the evening hours. Temps today will stall out just before 60 degrees, but we are still on track for an intense warm up as high pressure builds then moves in tomorrow. Current temperature projections place Friday as the hottest day with 90 degrees possible in the Valley and upper 70's on the Coast.
