    Police identify second gunman involved in shooting on Susquehanna St.

    BINGHAMTON, N.Y. (WIVT/WBGH) – The Binghamton Police Department has identified another suspect involved in a shots fired incident that occurred over the weekend.

    On Monday, detectives arrested Okan Thompson, 31, of Binghamton. Thompson is believed to be the second gunman involved in a shooting that took place at 100 Susquehanna Street building A-5 on April 27.

    During an investigation into the incident, authorities determined that two people were shooting at each other near the area of the apartment and a search warrant was executed at the location. As a result, Lamont Weaver, 20, Lytiek Gadson, 25, and a 17-year-old male were taken into custody. At the time, a second gunman had not yet been determined.

    Thompson, who is on parole, was charged with Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the Second Degree, Reckless Endangerment in the First Degree, and Criminal Possession of a Firearm.

    He was arraigned in Binghamton City Court and remanded to the Broome County Jail.
