    Vigil held for Billerica Police Sergeant Ian Taylor

    BILLERICA, Mass. (WWLP) – People in Billerica came together to remember Sergeant Ian Taylor on Sunday.

    Massachusetts woman charged with animal cruelty after beating, torturing dogs

    Sergeant Taylor died while on duty at a construction site on Friday. He was hit by an excavator and died at the hospital.

    Hundreds showed up at a vigil on Sunday to support the police department. Sergeant Taylor was 49 years old and worked in the Lawrence, Wilmington, and Billerica Police Departments for 21 years.

    Memorial service arrangements for Sergeant Taylor are still being made and details will be provided as they are available.
