Lindale looking for third straight gold-medal finish at state track meet
LINDALE — Lindale has left the UIL Track and Field State Meet with a gold medal in each of the past two years. The Eagles are looking to do the same again this year as they will be represented in two events Thursday at Mike A. Myers Track and Soccer Stadium in Austin.
Lindale's Jalynn Gateley signs with Louisiana Tech for powerlifting
LINDALE — Lindale senior Jalynn Gateley signed to continue her powerlifting career at Louisiana Tech University. “I had already kind of decided on Louisiana Tech because of their academics and then I found out they had a powerlifting team, and that changed the game,” Gateley said. “Their coach reached out to Coach (Lindale powerlifting coach Jacob) Alford. That made me really excited when I found out about the team. I got to meet with them and that was pretty much it.”
