Sheetz will be opening a new location Thursday at 1780 E. 4th St. in Bethlehem.

The store will go all out with grand opening celebrations beginning at 9 a.m., with prizes including a grand prize giveaway of free Sheetz for a year. At 10:45 a.m., the store will host a ribbon-cutting ceremony. Regardless if you’re a diehard Sheetz fan making it over to the store first thing in the morning or stroll in later, all customers will be offered self-serve coffee and soda for the entire day.

Sheetz also announced it would be donating $2,500 to the Second Harvest Food Bank of the Lehigh Valley and Northeast Pennsylvania. In the spirit of the donation, Sheetz is asking those who attend grand opening festivities to donate a nonperishable food item that will in turn be shared with Second Harvest Food Bank. Donors who donate between 9 and 11 a.m. will receive a Sheetz branded thermal bag, while supplies last.

The food bank serves 200 agencies in a six-county area: Carbon, Lehigh, Monroe, Northampton, Pike, and Wayne counties. The food bank’s mission is to distribute food to needy people and eliminate waste in the food industry.
