J.R. “Jack” Forrest, 74

J.R. “Jack” Forrest died peacefully following a short illness on March 26, 2024, surrounded by family and friends.

He was born to Matthew and Martha (Wilma) Forrest in Laona, WI on January 21, 1950, and grew up in Bethel, OH; graduating in 1968 from Bethel-Tate HS. He served in the USAF (1968-1972) in Vietnam as crew chief working on fighter jets. Jack’s career took him from Montana to California, and then to Colorado where he joined Amoco Oil for 20 years building and maintaining service stations for the western region. After retirement, he created a successful home remodeling business – making homeowners’ visions come to fruition and creating accessible homes for those with disabilities. He was a true master at his craft.

Memories of Jack’s love are cherished by his beloved wife and best friend, Alesia. They love their life together - living in the mountains, traveling the world (especially Maui), and sharing RV-ing, winery and brewery tours. Theirs is a love story like no other and will forever be an inspiration to others.

Jack loves the children in his life - Daniella (Ken), Tammi (Johnny), John (Daria), Christopher (Veronica), as well as Lindsey, Maxwell (Taylor), and Tanner (Emily). Also, 10 grandchildren, and 1 great-grandchild.

Surviving him are siblings Janet, Joe (Paula), Joan (Larry), Joyce (George), Judi (Terry), June (Webb) and Jim; sister-in-law Rebecca, and his many nieces and nephews.

Jack leaves all who knew him with a renewed sense of cherishing the adventure of each day, the challenge to be creative and generous, and the inspiration to do what’s right and good and kind. Cheers and “a hui hou” to our beloved Jack.

A full honor military service at Fort Logan Memorial Cemetery in Denver, CO is scheduled for July 5 at 12:30 p.m.
