Keys to a Texas win vs. Missouri: Early lead, Explosive offensively
Texas is gearing up for another Top 25 matchup, this time on the road at Missouri . The Tigers are sitting at 6-2 like Texas, coming off a comfortable win over Arkansas. Ahmad Hardy returned to the field last week, adding to an already elite run game but it’s unknown how much he’ll play in this one. Regardless, the Missouri offense presents multiple problems Muschamp and company will have to answer. It’s no different for the Tiger defense, who consistently flashes their elite talent on the front seven. Here are the four keys to the Longhorns winning Saturday and keeping their CFP hopes alive: Jump Out To An Early Lead The two times Roberts has been held under 4.0 yards/carry in SEC play, Missouri lost. The only way to do that is to avoid the run game leaning on your defense. Ole Miss jumping out to an early lead forced Missouri to lean into the passing game, leaving them one-dimensional. Texas has been brilliant in the first quarter and needs to do it again to eliminate a run game that can dominate this game. The Longhorns opening to a 10-0 or 14-0 win could take the single most dangerous piece

Longhorns to watch this weekend vs. Missouri: Wingo, Terry, Biles
Texas is closing in on a true must-win game in Columbia , Missouri this weekend. Missouri sports a very talented roster, led by Austin Simmons and Jamal Roberts in the backfield. Texas is walking into this game dealing with a number of injuries, meaning depth pieces will have to perform and starters will have to pick up the playmaking slack. Considering that, I’ve highlighted six Longhorns that need strong performances if they’re going to keep their CFP hopes alive. Texas Longhorns WR Ryan Wingo Ryan Wingo is one of the names likely to appear on the injury report later tonight. According to reports, it seems his likelihood to play is higher than other Longhorns. On top of that, it’s a homecoming for the St. Louis native and former Missouri commit. I’d expect Wingo to not only play, but be a massive part of the Texas game plan. Considering the nature of the Tigers’ front seven, quick passes will be a very important piece of the Texas offense. Wingo will get those chances on Saturday and if he can take advantage, the Texas offense can get moving. Texas Longhorns TE Michael Masunas The one common theme along the Ohio State and

Missouri RB Jamal Roberts on Texas: 'It's just another game'
Missouri running back Jamal Roberts isn’t exactly worried about Texas coming to town this weekend. As he put it, he and the Tigers just have to take of business against the Longhorns. Texas comes to Columbia as the No. 7 ranked team in the country, per the initial CFP rankings. Missouri is No. 18, so this game could eliminate the Tigers from contention or put Texas on the precipice of being kicked out while vaulting the Tigers up the ladder. $19.99 gets you a FULL year of On3 | Rivals national coverage Basically there’s a lot on the line, especially in the SEC, for these upcoming four weeks in...

Steve Sarkisian Hit With Alarming Injury Concern as Multiple Texas Players Risk Missing Rest of Season
Texas crushed Mississippi State 31-3 on Halloween night, but the scoreboard didn’t tell the whole story. Five key Longhorns left injured, adding to Steve Sarkisian’s already depleted roster. So much for an easy win. Now, with multiple players potentially facing extended absences, Texas could pay a steep price heading into a brutal November stretch. Texas was already without starting offensive tackle Trevor Goosby, who has been ruled out for the season, along with edge rushers Colin Simmons and Richard Wesley. Now, five more injury concerns have left Sarkisian with difficult roster decisions ah...
