Tammie Holland, a proud St. Louis native and beloved media veteran, died July 20, three years after receiving a cancer diagnosis. She was 53 years old. Teen shot in Jeff-Vander-Lou Thursday night
ST. LOUIS — St. Louis city police are investigating a shooting that injured a teen Thursday night in the Jeff-Vander-Lou neighborhood. Police said, according to the 16-year-old victim, he and two other friends were walking near the intersection of Sullivan Avenue and North Garrison Avenue at around 7:30 p.m. when they heard gunshots, and the teen was struck.

4 inmates stabbed at Mo. jail during fight between detainees
ST. LOUIS — Four detainees at the city’s downtown jail were stabbed and injured in a fight Wednesday afternoon. ST. LOUIS, Mo. (First Alert 4) - A woman from St. Louis was sentenced to 15 years in prison after admitting to fatally stabbing a neighbor in an apartment.
