Talley, 15, of Chowchilla, Calif., teamed with fellow Northern Californian Sarah Lim, 17, of Saratoga, to capture the 9th U.S. Women’s Amateur Four-Ball Championship.

PHS baseball rolls to win in playoff opener
A 7-0 win against Chowchilla at home on Tuesday in the first round of the Central Section Division III playoffs. The Panthers, seeded No. 4, advanced to the quarterfinals in which they will host No. 5 Fowler at 4:30 p.m. today. If PHS wins that game it would also host the semifinals.
Softball Recap: Bret Harte sees their postseason come to a close
Bret Harte and Le Grand squared off in some playoff action on Tuesday, but Bret Harte had to settle for second. They lost 10-0 to the Le Grand Bulldogs. The shutout was out of character for Bret Harte seeing as the last time the team failed to score was back in April.
