A LUCKY lottery player took home $100,000 while waiting for his wife to finish getting her nails done.

Bobby P. from Bend, Oregon told lottery officials that he decided to stop into his local Fred Meyer store and bought a few scratch-offs.

The Oregon Lottery said that Bobby chose the Triple Diamond Payout due to its “shining diamonds.”

Bobby purchased a few and scratched the tickets while waiting for his wife Noelle in the car.

It wasn’t until his last ticket that he scratched the top prize of $100,000.

However, that’s not the first time the couple won big playing the Oregon Lottery.

Back in September 2023, Bobby and Noelle won $50,000.

“You’re not going to believe it, we’ve won again,” Bobby told Noelle.

While he won the top prize, he wasn't able to take home the full amount.

This is due to the tax laws both federally and in his state.

Folks in Oregon must pay an 8% tax state tax and a 24% federal tax which amounts to him losing $32,000 altogether.

Just keep in mind that there are risks when playing the lottery and you should only buy a ticket if you can afford to do so.

If you or someone you know has signs of gambling addiction, call the National Gambling Hotline at 1-800-522-4700 or visit the National Council on Problem Gambling website.

TRIPLE DIAMOND PAYOUT

The Triple Diamond Payout Scratch-its cost $10 per ticket.

The top prize is $100,000 with an overall odds of one in 3.06.

Playing is simple, folks are given 24 “spins” for 24 chances to score the top prize.

Those who match three of the same symbols across in a spin will win the prize shown.

If players scratch a diamond in any spin, they will win three times the amount shown.

Just note that each spins play separately.

GET YOUR CASH

Officials suggest that all winners sign the back of their ticket to show that it’s theirs.

Where you claim your prize will depend on the amount you won and which game you played.

Smaller prizes can be claimed where you bought your ticket, but larger prizes must be redeemed by mail or at a Lottery office.

Prizes of $50,000 and up may now be claimed by appointment at both the Salem and Wilsonville Prize Payment Center locations in Oregon.

Lottery officials suggest calling 800-766-6789.

Powerball, Mega Millions, or Oregon’s Game Megabucks, allows you to choose between a lump sum payment or receiving 30 annual installments.

However, all other prizes are paid in one lump sum.

A lottery winner took home $250,000 from a scratch-off but was told they wouldn't get the full amount.

Plus, in less than two weeks, a $1 million Mega Millions prize is scheduled to expire.
