Wisconsin athletes, fans gear up for 2024 Olympic Games in Paris
Van Rear is the co-owner of Borland’s Tavern, a small bar and restaurant next to Lake Belle View in Belleville. At 5 a.m. Saturday, he’s opening up shop to welcome the village of 2,591 to come watch hometown girl Lauren O’Connor compete in rowing for Team USA at the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris.
Board OKs membership with School District Consortium
The Verona Area School District (VASD) Board of Education voted to join the Greater Dane County School District Consortium (GDCSDC) on Monday, July 22. Board members Jennifer Murphy, John Porco and Superintendent Tremayne Clardy attended a GDCSDC meeting in May, where a group of greater Dane County school districts are looking to collaborate on shared visions. The GDCSDC mission statement reads as follows:

Casey Rabach Named Badgers Assistant Coach
Sturgeon Bay native and former college and pro football offensive lineman Casey Rabach has been named an assistant offensive line coach at the University of Wisconsin.
