Aidan Hedderman of Sturgis Brown is now the all-time state leader in the Boys 110m Hurdles. The Scoopers senior finished the 2024 state meet with a time of 13.88, which broke the previous state record set by Talon Maxon (14.15) of Rapid City Central in 2015.

Spearfish, Stevens girls make podium at state track meet
RAPID CITY, S.D. (KOTA) - West River teams failed to disappoint at this weekend’s state track and field meet in Sioux Falls. On the boys side, Custer places 2nd overall in Class “A”, two points behind Sioux Falls Christian for first. The Rapid City Stevens boys also take silver behind Sioux Falls Lincoln. In Class “A”, on the girls side, Custer takes third. In Class “AA”, Spearfish places second and Stevens takes third.
