Ohio man gets $1 Million bond for murder charge of 19-year-old

An Ohio man was was in court on Monday after allegedly murdering a 19-year-old on Saturday.

21-year-old male, Brian Alexious Melott of Bellaire, is being charged with murder and was told his bond would $1 Million.

Melott allegedly murdered 19-year-old David Allen Jr. of Bellaire, Ohio.

Bellaire Police say they responded to a shots fired incident at the Francis Wallace Apartments on 41st in Bellaire. On location, Bellaire police say they found Allen Jr. with a gunshot wound to the chest.

No other details, including a motive have been released at this time but Bellaire Police say Melott was interviewed at the police station.

Bellaire Police say the investigation ins still ongoing.

Melott will have his preliminary hearing on Thursday, stick with 7News for updates.
