Causeacon hosts final day of 2024 festival

BECKLEY, WV (WVNS) — Causeacon held it’s final day of festivities on Sunday, April 28, 2024.

The sixth annual Causeacon began on Friday, April 26. Cosplayers, vendors, panelists, and celebrities find a home at this convention. Desiree Christian, event organizer said she hopes Causeacon continues to grow and help the AWAY center, the former Women’s Resource Center.

“I hope by the ten year anniversary we just completely grow as much as we can and raise as much money for the center. And that, I don’t know, maybe bigger and better celebrities, better panels, better events, and just everyone have a good time,” said Christian.

Causeacon’s final day began at 10 in the morning. Proceeds from the convention will go towards Beckley’s AWAY Center, an advocacy service for all victims of domestic violence.
