BECKLEY, W.Va. ( WTRF ) – West Virginia’s strong craftsman and culinary heritage is showcased in one convenient place- Tamarack Marketplace in Beckley.

Tamarack Marketplace and Conference Center boasts artists, artisans, crafts people, and food producers from the Mountain State.

The complex opened August 8, 1994 and featured food from the Greenbrier, including fried green tomatoes, according to the Tamarack website.

Features include various fine arts galleries with works by native artists.

The restaurant serves “delicious Appalachian inspired dishes” like like chicken pot pie and their famous, tasty fried green tomato sandwiches.

Tamarack Marketplace in Southern West Virginia is an easy drive right off Exit 45 off of I-64/77.

For a taste of West Virginia’s Appalachian heritage, Tamarack Marketplace, is worth a visit.
