CRANBERRY TWP., Pa. (EYT) — A local woman is facing charges for allegedly fleeing the scene of a DUI-related crash in Cranberry Township in April. Court records show Franklin-based State Police filed criminal charges against 55-year-old Karen Sue Baugher, of Venus, on Thursday, May 16, in District Judge Patrick E. Lowrey’s office.

The heavy rain has ended for all areas except in Allegheny County, where a Flash Flood Warning remains in effect until 7:15 a.m. Please continue to heed remaining road closures," states the National Weather Service.
Former WPXI reporter Dee Thompson dies at 84
Retired WPXI reporter DeHaven “Dee” Thompson died May 9 at age 84. Thompson worked at Channel 11 from 1974 until his retirement in 2009. WPXI meteorologist Scott Harbaugh posted a tribute on Facebook, writing, “ ‘Dee’ was one of the kindest people you would ever want to meet. … Always a smile, a kind word, a quick wit, Mr. Thompson is [a] broadcast legend in Pittsburgh. My prayers are with his family at this time. What a wonderful human being.”
