Perry woman charged with child endangerment
A Perry County woman was arrested on various charges after, Kentucky State Police said, she fled from police and resisted arrest while holding her four-year-old child. According to an arrest citation written by Trooper Nathan Roark, on Feb. 7, KSP Post 13 received a call reporting that Jennifer Fugate, 33, of Krypton Lick Branch Road, Krypton, was intoxicated while in charge of her four-year-old child and had active warrants for her arrest.

In celebration and acknowledgment of Black History Month, Perry County Sheriff Joe Engle has announced a historic moment with the office’s most diverse force yet. "As we celebrate February as Black History Month, it is an honor to be part of history in seeing the most diverse sheriff's office that we have ever seen in this county,” Engle said. “We currently have four African American deputies employed with our agency. This is a historic moment for Perry County. I don’t think any other sheriff has had a department more diverse as ours.”
