Bath man arrested on drug charges

BATH, N.Y. ( WETM ) — A Bath man is facing multiple drug charges after being arrested on Friday.

According to the Village of Bath Police Department, Christopher W. Smith, 32, was arrested on April 12 after an investigation into the possession and sale of a controlled substance on Chestnut Street in the Village of Bath. At the time of Smith’s arrest, there were two indictment warrants for his arrest.

Campbell man faces terroristic threat charge

Smith was charged with two counts of third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and two counts of third-degree criminal sale of a controlled substance. All of these charges are class B felonies.

Smith was transported to the Steuben County Jail after he was processed. Smith is currently being held at the jail while awaiting arraignment.

The Steuben County Sheriff’s Office assisted the Village of Bath Police Department with the investigation that led to Smith’s arrest.
