2 barricaded suspects arrested after SWAT situation at St. Charles home
ST CHARLES, Mo. — Two people were taken into custody after a SWAT team situation at a home in St. Charles, the city's police department told 5 On Your Side at the scene. Officers were serving a felony warrant for stealing on Wednesday at a home on Expedition Trail Court at around 11:28 a.m. when the situation began, the department said.
St. Peters family recovering after they had to jump from window to escape apartment fire
ST. PETERS, Mo. — A family of four jumped to save their lives while escaping their burning townhome in St. Peters last week. Jordyn Johnstone said her family is trying to get back on their feet after the harrowing escape from the fire at their apartment on Delray Court in St. Peters. Investigators say the fire started somewhere in the kitchen of the home in the early morning hours of May 6.

ST CHARLES, Mo. — Friday, families in St. Charles County could learn the fate of their local library branch. Library leaders are putting some branches on the chopping block. The St. Charles City-County Library board of trustees said it's looking at its future, and that's why the board is considering closures. In a statement sent to 5 on Your Side, officials say the board will hold a public meeting Friday evening, "to hear and discuss a presentation on the state of the library and review a proposal on its future strategic direction."
