You Might Want To Arrive Early At This Massachusetts Restaurant Before Tables Fill Up
Crispy lamb ribs, squid ink pasta, and a front-row seat to boats gliding across the harbor. That combo alone is enough to make me check a calendar. This waterfront spot in Massachusetts sits right on a pier, with a patio that faces the water. The menu leans into small plates made for sharing, so the whole table gets a taste of everything.

Parker House Rolls: Boston’s Gift to the Thanksgiving Table
Some of America’s most famous foods were invented in a single Boston hotel. The Parker House, opened by Harvey Parker on School Street in 1855, is where Boston cream pie was created, and where, in the nineteenth century, the kitchen first served the soft, folded dinner rolls that still carry its name.

Literary Boston: A Book Lover’s Guide to Bookshops, Libraries and Hotels
Boston has always been a city of readers. It is where Emerson, Longfellow and Hawthorne gathered for dinner, where America’s great publishers once kept shop and where you can still sit under a vaulted ceiling with a book for an entire afternoon. Literary Boston is not a museum piece. It is woven into the streets, which is exactly what I love about it, and fall is the perfect season to explore it.

Locals Keep Coming Back To This Old-School Massachusetts Market For Hot Italian Sandwiches
Some of the subs at this corner market reportedly weigh up to two and a half pounds. That’s not a lunch. That’s a commitment with bread on both sides. The chicken cutlets get coated, seasoned, and cooked to order. Then they get piled with prosciutto, fresh mozzarella, broccoli rabe, or hot stuffed peppers.

Snowport Boston eats: What’s worth the money?
Snowport is Boston’s largest holiday market, open from Nov. 6 to Dec. 27 in the Seaport. Over the past few years, its popularity has skyrocketed, with Saturday crowds causing lines with multi-hour wait lines that wrap around the block. Last year, I went to Snowport five times, as I wanted to try as many of the food stalls as I could. In honor of Snowport’s opening this week, here are my ratings of all the foods I tried. Usually the food stalls stay consistent each year, so you should be able to try these for yourself.

Ann "Goody" Glover was an Irish Catholic washerwoman executed in Boston in 1688 — four years before the Salem Witch Trials of 1692.
