Message from Superintendent: Possible Elementary School Closures and K-12 Boundary Changes for Fall 2028 - Oct. 26 School Board Study Session
About every decade, districts conduct a comprehensive review of student enrollment and other data to inform long-term planning. For the past year, Northshore’s Enrollment Demographics Advisory Committee (EDAC) has been engaged in this review. Two related challenges were identified - lower student enrollment overall and uneven distribution of students across our schools. These challenges were publicly presented last spring at Conversations with the Board (CWTB), during School Board Study Sessions on September 14 and September 28, and again at the October 8 CWTB. Today I want to share an important update on where this work stands and what you can expect in the coming weeks and months.
