PIKEVILLE, Ky. — A former assistant Pike County attorney currently under indictment for the murder of his wife is seeking to have the case dismissed. Donald Kyle Deskins, 54, of Kimper, was arrested Aug. 31 and charged with murder and evidence tampering for the death of his wife, who died in April of 2021.

PRESTONSBURG, Ky. — A Johnson County man was arrested by Prestonsburg Police, following a chase reaching speeds of up to 110 miles an hour. Police spotted Thomas Price, 36, of Williamsport, in the Pink Elephant pawn shop parking lot Tuesday afternoon and knew him to be wanted for fleeing police in Johnson County and pointing a gun at them, so he attempted to pull him over.

PIKEVILLE, Ky. (WYMT) - The Pike County Fiscal Court heard the second reading of a new ordinance Tuesday, opening some of the county roads to trail riders and their ATVs. WILLIAMSON — On Saturday, the Williamson Field House hosted the 4th Annual Southern West Virginia Fishing Expo. Sponsored by Williamson Parks and Recreation and The Friends of the Tug Fork River, 98 vendor tables — a new Expo record — were announced prior to the event.
