Benches find new home in Poughkeepsie
POUGHKEEPSIE – The benches that only lasted a few days on Main Street last summer before being removed by order of then-Mayor Marc Nelson have been pulled from storage and are being used by the city. Poughkeepsie Parks and Recreation Director Brian Laffin, following a conversation with Councilman Evan Menist, has placed the benches at Hulme Park at the corner of Church and Market Streets.

Mayor set to splash at new pool house
POUGHKEEPSIE – The City of Poughkeepsie will open both of its pools on Saturday, June 29, beginning with a ribbon-cutting to dedicate the new pool house at Pulaski Park, the city announced on Thursday. The Pulaski Pool was closed last year to make way for the construction of the new pool house.
