Mild today, unsettled weekend
A weak wave of low pressure will works its way into the pine tree state this evening with light rainfall south of Greenville and Millinocket and light snow norther of there. The weather will remain unsettled through the weekend with snow showers across norther Maine on Saturday and some isolated rain showers possible further south. Sunday night another area of low pressure will slide in from the Great Lakes but transfer energy to coastal low. This would allow enough cold air to be drawn in from the north to actually see some accumulating and plowable snow further south than we’ve seen so far this season. Even with models coming to more of an agreement, there are still some major differences between the two in regards to snowfall amounts, therefor it is too early to dive into those details. But stay tuned for the latest.
