‘This Is My Super Bowl,’ Ravens Fan Says On $100K Post-Season Baltimore Lotto Scratch-Off Win

The fan — who went by the name ‘Tone’ as he cashed in his top-prize winning instant ticket at lottery headquarters — says he didn’t have much luck after last year’s football season.

But the football fanatic — also big on trying his luck on scratch-offs — did just that when he stopped by Food City Mart at 1733 Pennsylvania Avenue in Baltimore to purchase the lucky Ravens X5 ticket, a scratcher he’d never tried before, he told officials.

He picked out two tickets and didn’t have any luck with the first. But when he matched a winning number on the second instant ticket, it appeared to show a $100,000 top prize. He then asked the store employee to scan the ticket to confirm his big win.

“Man, ain’t no way this happening to me!” Tone recalled thinking at the time.

“This is my Super Bowl.”

“I sat down in the car and put the ticket in my wallet for safekeeping and headed to work, I didn’t tell anyone or show my ticket off because I was paranoid I would lose it,” Tone told lottery officials.

While he still hasn’t told anyone about his win aside from the person who drove him to headquarters, he has made plans to pay some bills and stock some of the cash away in savings.

Meanwhile, the Ravens X5 scratcher has two more $100,000 top prizes, three $10,000 prizes and others ranging from $5 to $1,000.
