Pineville police issue spam alert on recent Facebook post
PINEVILLE, La. (KALB) - The Pineville Police Department is warning the community about a Facebook post circulating about false information concerning a lost child. The post, which was shared on a local garage sale Facebook group, claims that a 2-year-old boy was found in Pineville. The post also claims that he’s at the police station but no one knows where he’s from and no family has called to look for him.
Detectives request public’s assistance in identifying theft suspects
RAPIDES PARISH, La. (WNTZ) – On May 6, 2024, at approximately 11:20 AM, deputies responded to the 10000 block of US 165 South near Woodworth in reference to a report of a theft. Upon arrival, contact was made with complainant who advised that someone had stolen a John Deere Z970R 35hp 60-inch commercial zero turn mower. Deputies took the initial report and Detectives with the Glenmora Substation responded to conduct their investigation.
