Robinson Elementary essay winners
The Aurora Advertiser is thrilled to announce the 2024 Solar Eclipse Essay Contest winners from Robinson Elementary School. We appreciate the teachers and staff working with the students on this project and truly enjoyed reading the essays. Each winner received a certificate and will have their winning essay published in the May 9 issue of the Advertiser.

Man injured in Butterfield wreck
A Butterfield man was injured on Friday in a wreck at 11:35 p.m. on Highway 37, half a mile west of Butterfield. According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, John Cargile, 58, of Butterfield, was driving a 2000 Dodge Ram 1500 eastbound when his vehicle failed to yield to southbound a 2021 Freightliner Cascadia, being driven by Benjamin Roe, 54, of Cassville, causing the Freightliner to strike the Dodge.
