    Homicide Investigation: 53-year-old Augusta man shot

    AUGUSTA (WJBF) – The Richmond County Coroner’s Office is investigating a shooting death that occurred on Friday, June 14th.

    The incident happened on the 2800 block of Waterside Drive inside the Butler Creek Mobile Home Community.

    The victim, 53-year-old Edward Goins from Augusta, was shot at least one time and was transported to Wellstar / MCG.

    Goins was pronounced dead on Saturday 1:08 p.m.

    No suspect information has been released.

    This is an ongoing investigation.
