LEWISTON, Maine — Two women were arrested within 24 hours of each other during separate traffic stops in the Lewiston area, resulting in drug trafficking charges. Investigators say the first arrest was on Wednesday, Sept. 20, at 12:11 a.m., when Lewiston police pulled over Amber Swift, 39, of Belgrade, due to a traffic violation. Officers found that Swift had an outstanding arrest warrant and took her into custody.
