Wilson takes down Morehead City 1-0 in rain-shortened game
WILSON, NC – On Tuesday night at Fleming Stadium, the Wilson Tobs hosted the Morehead City Marlins in a game with big time playoff implications for the Tobs. With weather cutting the game shut after five innings of play, it was the Tobs that came out on top 1-0. Wilson native Jacob Dienes got the start for the Tobs, getting off to a rocky start. Dienes had the bases loaded against him in the top of the first frame. Dienes battled out of the self-inflicted trouble and held the Marlins off the scoreboard in the first inning.
